Film Scarborough has been set up by film enthusiasts in the beautiful Yorkshire town of Scarborough, with the aim of promoting and encouraging film shows, film going and film-making in this area. We will be asking for suggestions for film shows, venues, festivals and articles, as well as highlighting the work of local film-makers and scouting for reviewers.

The people behind Film Scarborough already run two film festivals in the town. The annual Silent Film Festival, based at the Stephen Joseph Theatre and the Library began in 2003; and an outdoor festival was inaugurated in August 2005. The outdoor festival is based at the Spa Suncourt and is set to become a feature of summer nightlife in Scarborough.
